At Arcadia, we believe the best way to truly learn what it will be like to live at the community is to spend time with us personally. And while the community will not physically open for some time, the roots of our community are growing strong! We hold regular events so depositors are able to establish friendships, and new friends are able to discover our incredible community.
Recently, our community gathered at St. Teresa’s for a workshop and social networking event called “Getting Through the Winter Blues.”
Members of the Vantage Point family were on hand to facilitate lively discussions, share a delicious meal, and boost the energy levels of all who attended!
Kim Kostival, our Director of Community Relations, kicked off the workshop by sharing some tips and strategies for staying active and happy during the cold and dark winter days.
Loren Galt, our Culinary Director, then talked about how important it is to keep eating right during the winter months. He even gave us a taste (literally!) of the kinds of food we’ll be offering at Arcadia that will help residents stay nutritionally well.
And finally, Kati Cohn, led the group in some light exercises to get us moving, boost our confidence levels, and burn a few calories from the incredible meal we enjoyed as a group.
And while we learned tips to stay physically and emotionally well during the winter months – we also were able to be socially well by joining together as a community – of depositors, team members, and newfound friends.
